THANK YOU team Foundation Fitness and all our supporters!!
๐๐We raised $3,350 this year, lifted heavy, ate snacks, won a NEW bar for the gym, shared laughs and cheered each other on to hit personal bests all for a great cause.
See below how Deadlift for Cancer came about and where the donations go this year!
Next year will be even bigger and better.๐

Deadlift 4Cancer founder, @amydeepharmD was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 30 years old. Prior to be in diagnosed she was a competitive powerlifter and cancer came out of the blue.
Through continuing to lift and stay strong, she was able to get through a surgery to remove a huge tumor (21 cm x 10 cm) and multiple rounds of chemotherapy.
But after finishing treatment, she was really beat up.
Completely Exhausted!
She turned back to the barbell to help her get back on her feet. After months of recovery and training, @amydeepharmD returned to the national platform as a powerlifter in 2018.
Strength training as been shown to improve the recovery of cancer survivors by helping to improve energy, decrease hot flashes, and improve strength! Women who have been diagnosed with cancer need more support to use a barbell to aid in recovery.
Thatโs why this year – Deadlift 4 Cancer is donating all the funds raised to Barbells 4 Boobs (a non-profit organization offering strength training and mindset coaching to women from all over the world.)
